Has Anil Dwivedi seen these comments on LOCO, has LOCO?

 This was on the day of the LOCO poll 9/8/26 on LOCO's FB page.

I just checked the same posts just now on the LOCO fb page.

When I lived at Hillsdale last year, my next door neighbor, a young lady told me she trimmed "weed" for Anil. She also said that she went out to dinner with him, then left when she found out he was married and was unconfortable. 

She told me another woman who lived downstairs, also a younger woman worked for Anil. My neighbor told me she spoke with a lawyer. I told her that unless she was willing to put something in a court document, I could not include it in my ongoing coverage of the Hillsdale lawsuits and that it had nothing to do with rent increases. I also reminded her she went out to dinner willingly and he did not do anything. The young woman was prone to exaggeration and I passed this on to manager Lorena Reynolds before I moved out.

I am including what my young neighbor told me because two people have posted Anil's involvment in the "weed" industry. If you check Humboldt Superior Court records, I did a year ago. Anil filed a small claims case against the Redway Community Services District. It was dismissed in full on 1/17/24.

Anil Dwivedi threatened Janssen Malloy with defamation. I did a post in May 2025 about a letter from Dhillon Law Group.

LOCO has not removed these comments. As I have already mentioned, Anil told me Ryan Burns was banned from his buildings. This was when LOCO interviewed some tenants. LOCO stopped covering those lawsuits. Anil has never sent me a press release but he isn't the only candidate so that is irrelevant. What is relevant is that now he is talking to Ryan Burns about the settlement before an election.

Why should you trust flip flop Anil or LOCO?

Why has LOCO not mentioned the third building Anil has bought? I reported on it already. It is 1005 E street. 

What LOCO left out in the premature rush to publish a settlement yet to be approved, purposely or being clueless, is that the injunction monitor is Randall Davis, Anil's former attorney before Dhillon Law Group took over.

These are the kind of details that are more relevant because anyone involved in landlord tenant disputes locally knows Randall Davis. That is not meant as a compliment. Anil was not thrilled with Randall's court performance. 

Anil has not been transparent about his Sohum or SoCal background. I "trust" Anil as much as I trust "Reddit." That is sarcasm. My regular readers get it without explaination but there are always new readers.

LOCO is doing fluff PR pieces on candidates. RHBB is running Anil Dwivedi press releases. What investigative reporting does other local media do/has done on any candidate for the November 3 election except on Casey Dresser based in an anonymous Redditor. They couldn't even do original reporting on Dresser.

5:32 p.m. EPD Sgt. Brian Ross and Officer Dimitri Tagaropoulos conducting a traffic stop on the block where the Humboldt County Public Defender's Office and two safe and sober houses are located. As I walked up to them, they were already leaving for another call. No arrest. This block on 4th and L is a constant issue, even with EPD CSET quick response because of all the reasons my law abiding and informed readers know. The Public Defender's Office is the one with the brown, gnarly exterior. The property owner isn't   even embarrased because most Humboldt property owners are all about the money but have no character or shame.

I posted this on Facebook right away. Then, I had to take calls and follow up on other tips so posting this on the blog an hour later. This will happen sometimes. The blog readers are a different audience than Facebook or other platforms. For most posts, I add information at the same time. On a post like this, the blog readers who check my page frequently will get the information and it isn't time sensitive news.

Judge Wilson denies defense motion for acquittal in Marion Miller trial

 

The People finished presenting evidence yesterday and defense had no witnesses or evidence to present in Marion Miller's 2024 case in which he is charged with attempted murder, resisting an executive officer, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm with a special allegation for great and  bodily injury and criminal threats.

Retired Humboldt Superior Court Judge Christopher Wilson has been assigned to this trial. Senior Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor. Ms. Rebecca Linkous is Miller's attorney. 

Yesterday, Judge Wilson denied defense PC 1118.1 motion for acquittal.

Humboldt County DA Stacey Eads sent me this email to my inquiry about the dismissal in former EPD officer James Whitchurch case."The assigned DDA determined there was insufficient evidence to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt. The analysis took into consideration evidence available at the time of filing as well as additional information he received from a defense expert following the filing of charges."

I sent my inquiry today at 1:52 today, got a response at 2:12. Maybe DA Stacey Eads responded to me because I don't email her every other day and she knows, like most people, where readers go for Humboldt court coverage.

I covered the arrest and Whitchurch's case for months and regularly unlike the random court coverage by other local media.

DA Eads could have released a statement to all media but unlike the rest of the media I understand why that is not possible because I know what those who work in the local courts go through and their work conditions.

The public is correct to question Whitchurch's dismissal just as I did the DUI case dismissed for Humboldt Superior Court clerk Annisha Harris which only I covered.

Another Emery Welton client who should not be granted mental health diversion but despite failure to appear and his record, Humboldt courts will do exactly what is against public safety

I have covered indecent exposure and peeping tom suspect Victor Phetsomphou since December 2025 and all three cases. One case CR2102511 was merged with CR2102520. CR2600480 is trailing. Today, he failed to appear on both cases.

Bench warrant for $15,000 was issued in each case and held to 10/5 by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Kaleb Cockrum when petition for mental health diversion will be heard. Deputy DA Jessica Watson is the prosecutor, Deputy Public Defender Emery Welton is Phetsomphou's attorney.

Another case where mental health diversion should not be granted and of course, it is a Emery Welton client.

Kenneth Harmon released on OR after being booked for battery and assault on a police officer

Kenneth Harmon arrested by Eureka Police Department yesterday for PC 243(b) battery against a peace officer and PC 241(c) assault on a police officer. These are misdemeanors in California and he was released on OR.

Stilez Head arrested for forcible rape

21 year Stilez Arwin Head was arrested yesterday on a Ramey warrant by HCSO for PC 261(a)(2)  forcible rape.

He has three open 2026 DUI cases, represented by the Public Defender's Office and was released on OR.

10/2/26: No charges filed for the rape arrest when I checked today. Bail review hearing in all 3 DUI cases on Monday.

Judge Noel Wise granted County of Humboldt's motion to dismiss First Amended Complaint. But Ray Christie can file a Second Amended Complaint.

P. 15 : "The Court GRANTS Defendants’ motion to dismiss all of Plaintiff’s claims with leave to 

amend in part, and without leave to amend in part. Courts have broad discretion to grant leave to amend a complaint. Nguyen v. Endologix, 

Inc., 962 F.3d 405, 420 (9th Cir. 2020). Generally, Rule 15 advises that “[t]he court should freely 

give leave when justice so requires.” Fed. R. Civ. P. 15(a)(2). Indeed, “[i]t is black-letter law that 

a district court must give plaintiffs at least one chance to amend a deficient complaint,” unless 

there is “a clear showing that amendment would be futile.” Barke v. Banks, 25 F.4th 714, 721 (9th Cir. 2022) (internal quotation marks and citation omitted).

The Court finds that it is not clearly futile for Plaintiff to amend his claims brought under 

theories of unreasonable arrest, unreasonable search and seizure, malicious prosecution, deliberate fabrication of evidence, retaliation, and Monell liability. Accordingly, the Court GRANTS  Plaintiff leave to amend Claims 1–5 and 7 as to the County, Defendant Honsal, and Defendant Mendes."

"Of the 7 claims, Judge Wise only took one out completely; she took out conspiracy. The remaining 6 claims, we have time to amend."

When the court approves it, Anil actually signs the settlement, it will be news

 

I have had the proposed settlement between Anil Dwivedi for the 4 lawsuits for a few days. There is no point in posting documents when changes are being made. Also my coverage will includes court documents and why it hasn't settled until now. Humboldt Superior Court Assistant Presiding Judge Timothy Canning has suggested changes. I have covered all 4 lawsuits regularly including reporting on the proposed settlement weeks ago. When Anil actually signs and follows through, that will be news. Mr. Patrik Griego is also  smart to wait to comment once it has been approved.

There was a court hearing yesterday. Court minutes not available yet. Ms. Meagan Yarnall appeared for the tenants. There is a status hearing scheduled on 10/9 and a CMC on 10/12. Let's see what happens.

Anil had told me he had banned Ryan Burns from his buildings last year. Now, he is talking with LOCO because I won't do his spin before election. Eureka voters I hope are smarter. If you don't like any of the three choices for Mayor, write in a candidate as I have stated I will.

Several people including myself have moved from Hillsdale since the lawsuits were filed. New tenants means Anil sets prices he wants not subject to this settlement. He has purchased a third building, 1005 E street in addition to Hillsdale Apartments and Eureka Central Residence. That is actually relevant news LOCO could chose to report and did not.

Aunna Bollman being arrested again was a matter of time and predictable

 

It was not if but a matter of time when Aunna Sophia Bollman would fail because mental health diversion has yet to work except for one defendant I have covered in 12 years of Humboldt Superior Court.

Bollman already has 12 prior criminal cases, 3 restraining orders which were granted and a fourth requested by City of Eureka after death threats and explicit threats by Aunna Bollman to current and former elected officials and City of Eureka staff. 

I covered Bollman extensively and you can access all those posts via the search feature on the blog. 

Humboldt Superior Court Judge Steven Steward reluctantly granted Bollman mental health diversion. He had scheduled regular two weeks reviews but that cannot be done indefinitely and even when those reviews were there, Bollman was clueless why. Agencies just say compliance for court reports but from the repeated arrests of Aunna Bollman, James Leach and Analia Martinez to name just three people I have covered and they are just three examples of failed mental health diversion.

Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer was the prosecutor for Bollman's previous cases. Other Humboldt Deputy DAs have also appeared on cases and hearings. Gregory Kreis was her attorney.

Arcata Police Department arrested Bollman yesterday evening for PC 422(a) criminal threats, PC148(a)(1) resisting arrest, VC 2800.2 reckless evading, VC 20002(a)(1) hit and run involving property damage and VC 23103(a) reckless driving. If charges are filed for this arrest, that would be her 13th criminal case.

On September 18, a reader sent me two emails.

Between new arrests and repeat offenders daily with multiple cases, the number of cases I follow are now 50 to 60 daily. To cover, update is challenging and people who are at Humboldt Superior Court or familiar know why, I have written about the reasons several times. The system is already overloaded.  There is no way to keep up and we all know why this is happening and who is to blame.

Michelle Rowland filed a petition for a workplace restraining order against Bollman on 9/22/26. There is a hearing on that petition on the TRO on 10/14/26. Rowland is New Life Discovery Project on 7/14/26 which is next to Scrapper's Edge. Humboldt Commissioner Sarah Kaber granted the TRO until the hearing. Both parties are pro per.

Gary Pree arrested by EPD for attempted murder and domestic violence

Gary Daniel Pree arrested by Eureka Police Department Officer Jack Cole today at 2:05 a.m. for PC 664/187(a) attempted murder and PC 273.5(a) domestic violence.

BOLO issued by San Diego Sheriff's Office for sexually violent predator supervised by Liberty Healthcare

"On September 25, 2026 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Sexually Violent Predator Merle Wakefield's (DOB: 04/10/1957) GPS device alerted to "Tamper Mode" while working in Rancho Bernardo in the City of San Diego. Wakefield is supervised by Liberty Health Care (LHC) as part of the State's Conditional Release Program. LHC responded to the scene and discovered that Wakefield's GPS had been removed and Wakefield was no longer at the location.  

LHC notified the San Diego County Sheriff's Office and the San Diego Police Department. 

Wakefield is currently wanted for violating the terms of his conditional release. He was convicted in 1980 and 1991 of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and rape by force. Wakefield has been on conditional release since November 2024.

Wakefield stands 5'10" tall, weighs 230 pounds and has brown eyes.

This is why I cover SVP hearings and thanks to Senior Deputy DA Whitney Timm and Humboldt DA's office, placements of certain SVPs have failed. One of the arguments made by the Humboldt County DA and HCSO is the challenge of GPS monitoring in rural, remote Humboldt. I did a posts on Liberty HealthCare who an exclusive contract with the California Department of State Hospitals to place sexually violent predators on conditional release and how they try to release them into residential communities. 

Defense motion to use alleged victim's past sexual conduct to attack credibility denied in Clayton Miller trial

 

These are only some of the posts I have done on forcible rape and domestic violence suspect Clayton Miller who is currently in trial for his 2025 case. Three 2026 cases are trailing.

I have been adding updates to the July 12, 2026 post in which the last update was that the trial started on 9/23.

On 9/24, jury selection was completed and the jury was sworn. Miller has gone through defense attorneys. The latest is Mr. Ken Bareilles. Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor.

Humboldt Superior Court Judge Steven Steward denied the defense 782 motion today which was filed under seal.

9/29 /26: Today, Humboldt Superior Court Judge Steven Steward denied Mr. Bareilles' request to impeach Jane Doe, he lost again when he made a claim about People's witness Cassandra Overson and "at this time", Judge Steward did not find Mr. Bareilles in violation but reiterated his ruling. Jane Doe took the stand and identified Miller. 

Guy stops in middle of traffic on 5th street to yell at protestors, "You people are screwed up..."

 

At 4:51 p.m., when I left the Courthouse today, these were the protestors against Miranda's Rescue in front of the Courthouse. In the two minutes, I observed, most people honked in support. One man yelled something, "You people are screwed up..." while slowing down in the middle of the road.

There are people who care about the dogs, the animals but they also realize how the legal process works. There are people who care about the dogs and are genuinely frustrated and express themselves through protests, emails and calls to the Sheriff, Building and Planning or media. The three principals; all narcissists are too busy getting their 15 seconds of attention and if they cared about justice for animals and if Shannon believes he did nothing wrong, all three would zip it and allow an unhindered investigation. The politicians never cared; they have moved on to another soundbyte. There are several angry people who have picked one side or the other, refuse to listen to facts or reason and just want to attack others. The last group is the worst of exploiters. They don't care about the dogs or animals. They are weak, pathetic parasites with no self control using a tragedy to be angry at everyone else instead of working on their issues. 

Covering 40 or 50 court cases a day is not as draining as this darkness. Not interested in two cents of most of the above because the rational and respectful discussions are happening offline in real life among civil adults who can deal with more than one point of view.

Convicted felon among two repeat offenders arrested by EPD yesterday

On September 27, 2026, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department (EPD) responded to a report of a robbery at a gas station in the 4000 block of Broadway. The victim reported that a suspect had swung an object at them while attempting to take a pack of cigarettes.

Ivan McBeth charged with DUI and special allegations of high BAC

 

Ivan McBeth was arrested by CHP for DUI on August 3,2026. He was released on OR. The Humboldt County District Attorney filed a complaint on 9/4/26. Araignment is scheduled for this afternoon.

Usually when someone is arrested for a DUI, posts bond or is released on OR and it is a misdemeanor, it  takes months for charges to be filed. This complaint was filed by Shelly Small.

Deputy DA Andy Truitt appeared on the case this afternoon at arraignment. Public Defender's Office was appointed by Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran. Trial confirmation is on 1/6/27; jury trial on 1/11/27.

Don't know if this is the same Ivan McBeth yet.

EPD responds to 4th and L at 1:30 a.m.

At 1:30 a.m. heard a woman screaming for help and what sounded like a man beating her and he was yelling at her. I dialed EPD dispatch and as I was speaking to operator, I saw two EPD cars turn on 5th and L. At 1:40 a.m. saw ambulance on scene. I told dispatch that the officers maybe responding to why I called. Dispatch said they were at 4th and L. Initially when I heard the screaming it sounded like 4th and L. They were still on scene after 2 a.m.

This corner has issues all the time. So does 5th and K, 4th and K. EPD responds quickly. The failure is on the City of Eureka and County of Humboldt and judges who need to issue a stay away order for repeat offenders who never move a block or two from the Courthouse. Known criminals hang out in the area between I and L on 4th and 5th, there are bums loitering and the alley between Mother Bernard House, the former Royal Inn which is now safe and sober living, several safe and sober houses on 4th between K and L  and people hanging out near the jail are the root cause of noise and criminal activity. These people never move. The City of Eureka and County of Humboldt don't do anything about miscreants coming here out of the county and from other states who are mouthy, disrespectful to our local law enforcement and taking services away from locals. 

Today, it was  not just noise, screaming all night and barking dogs.

9/28/26: 9/28/26: At 1:34 a.m. exactly when I dialed EPD,  there is a call for disturbance/physical fight. I contacted EPD Police Analyst Rachel Sollom. With officers who responded last night off duty this morning, she had limited information and could only confirm "a report of a disturbance at 1:35 in the morning in the vicinity of fourth and L and no arrest was made." The 1:35 a.m. time corresponds with when I was on the phone with dispatch. Often these parties are known to each other.

No name, no info profiles and trolls from Washington State and Fortuna can fix the places they live in instead of the scripted talking points about Eureka and incidents they have no first hand knowlege or experience. Stop with the "criminalizing homeless" bs. These are chronic bums, lifelong drunks and drug addicts who refuse to change because they know the enablers will assist in keeping them dependent instead of self sufficiency. That requires rules and legal consequences. There are resources to get off the streets and stop addiction and people who want to succeed do despite hardship in their journeys. These miscreants take resources away from the strong survivors.

People who work and contribute to society have rights. There is no right for troublemakers to whatever they like on public property and they do not get to trample over law abiding citizens. To the person who thinks he knows the law, google and do some research before opening your ignorant anon mouth.

I was looking for something else found a guilty conviction for Adrian Kamada in a 2024 case

 

I was looking for something else last week and found this guilty conviction in a 2024 traffic case for Humboldt Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada.

Thank you to APD for citing him. Thank you Humboldt District Attorney for filing the case. Thank you Humboldt Superior Court Commissioner Sarah Kaber who makes rulings based on law and not who you are.

These are just some of the posts on why Adrian Kamada should never be the Humboldt County District Attorney.

With arguments on Friday in Ray Christie's federal lawsuit against County of Humboldt and Kamada being one of the defendants; one more reason for this post.

To the anon insider in an online comment section in Lost Coast Outpost, you have no clue when you say Kamada would have been a better DA. Times Standard endorsed Adrian Kamada. TS needs a different publisher than good ole boy Richmond's son. Someone who actually has a clue about journalism and is a professional and knows how to build a business and retain decent reporters.  

I have concerns and valid criticisms of Stacey Eads since she became DA but the only one promoting Kamada would be his buddies involved in Humboldt Superior Court or one of his good ole Humboldt boy connections or a court insider.

He lost the election because he is lazy and not competent.

The May 5, 2022 letter section in Mad River Union had two letters about Adrian Kamada and anyone who is familiar with Humboldt Superior Court their observations are accurate about why officers stand in the hallways. 

In 2026, the continuances by the DA and stipulation are adding up but that was not the case when Adrian Kamada ran for D.A.

My observations and opinions about Humboldt Superior Court about anyone are based on facts and knowledge of 12 years. 

These are the letters.

I am the subpoena clerk at the District Attorney’s office. Candidate Adrian Kamada has made statements regarding “officers standing in the court hallways” as well as descriptions of how our office operates that show that not only does he not understand how the court or our office operates, but that he is willing to make false or uninformed statements, which is alarming to me.

The District Attorney’s office does not use a “print and sign” system for a majority of its subpoenas as Kamada claims, we use primarily electronic acknowledgement. We do NOT use a “standby” system. Digitizing takes time and has already been in the works. It appalls me that Kamada is willing to take claim for ideas that are not his.

Further, the court schedules hearings. Our office has no control. The court chooses to set 10 to 30 preliminary hearings every day, four days a week, at 9:15 a.m., and requires us to have all our witnesses available. And, most of the time when court cases are continued (pushed forward to a future court date), it is because defense requested it, often without giving notice to the prosecution (requiring us to unnecessarily have our officers in court at 9:15 a.m.). If you look up any case’s procedural history, you will find a majority of its continuances are either from the defense or the court.

None of Kamada’s ideas surrounding creating “efficiency” in our local courthouse make any logical sense to me, and he does not seem to understand how it currently operates, and I wanted the public to know this before they cast their vote. If Kamada was actually committed to not having attorneys and officers wasting their time in court he could help fix that problem by advocating for more funding for our overworked and underfunded systems.

I know Mr. Kamada. I was assigned to monitor his professional development in 2015-2016. I remember him as immature, arrogant, ineffective. In the almost eight years he’s been a lawyer, he’s tried only 12 jury cases, and lost most of them. He has no leadership or administrative experience. Based on his attitude and performance I recommended his dismissal, repeatedly, years before it happened.

Continuances and nothing happening in cases for months is normal in Humboldt criminal cases for months and years

 

Stalking and criminal threats suspect David Orluck and former CalTrans employee David Orluck has two cases. 

There have been a lot of continuances and with each continuance, what is proposed does not happen.

These are updates, I added to the August 3, 2026. 

On 8/31, the preliminary hearing in both cases continued by defense to 9/2 for potential resolution. On 9/2, preliminary hearing was continued to 9/22 by stipulation. No resolution. New discovery was not received yet by the people. On 9/22, his preliminary hearing was continued by defense to 9/24 due due to new discovery from the people and possible amended complaint.

Gregory Kreis is Orluck's attorney. On 9/24, Deputy DA Candace Myers appeared on the case for the People. I have included court minutes for the changes in bail, why it was continued again. There is no amended complaint in the Humboldt Superior Court system and nothing indicated in the court minutes.
