This banner maybe more effective than a class action lawsuit

 




To the millionaires in Humboldt County and their psychophants, if you are so smart and successful, why are you silent about the constant financial drain on your pocketbook by bad hires and bad decisions?

 


Former City of Eureka Manager Dean Lotter and former Public Defender David Marcus are just two examples of the unneccessary cost to taxpayers and residents of Humboldt County.

Jeffrey Blanck, the Magney loss, HUMCPR lawsuits, DOJ lawsuits, litigation from inmates in cases such as  Cory Fisher, pending litigation from Rory Kalin, pending litigation against Humboldt DHHS, Connie Beck and Sheriff William Honsal are just a fraction of the cost due to inaction and ignorance by the good ole Humboldt network.

Santa Clara deputy arrested for false report of being shot in an ambush

 


Santa Clara Deputy Sukhdeep Gill surrendered himself after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody at the sheriff's office and booked on one felony count of vandalism and one misdemeanor count of making a false report to police.

Mendocino DA supports amicus brief against Los Angeles DA



Mendocino County District Attorney David Eyster announced Saturday morning that he joins in and fully supports the amicus brief filed by California District Attorneys Association (CDAA) in support of the lawsuit brought by line prosecutors in Los Angeles against the newly-elected Los Angeles County District Attorney. 

So is the County going to settle as usual or hold DHHS and the Sheriff accountable?

The  copy of the Department of Justice's motion requesting a court order and a proposed supplemental judgment is also available and I am not going to post all the pages of both documents.

The County could start by including the proper and full case name in the agenda which mentions DHHS Connie Beck and Humboldt Sheriff William Honsal instead of saying "et al." This item is being discussed next Tuesday in closed session by the Board of Supervisors

EPD addresses multiple complaints on Railroad with voluntary compliance

The Eureka Police Department has been receiving multiple complaints regarding the ongoing RV camping and quality of life issues on Railroad between 14th and Del Norte Streets.  This week those issues were addressed and EPD was able to obtain voluntary compliance getting the vehicles moved.

Ian Benjamin Rogers was arrested on January 15 after law enforcement found five pipe bombs and "at least 49" guns in a safe at his business in Napa County. Federal prosecutors allege that in text messages, Rogers threatened to attack Democrats.

On Jan. 25, 2021, at about 9 p.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received information that wanted attempted murder suspect Byron Dean Titus Jr., age 29 of Hoopa, was outside a business on the 3300 block of Broadway Street in Eureka.
