CNN is exactly the reason fake news resonates with most people

 

One problem is the people who are too lazy to click on the headline and read. Social media has worsened it but most people just tune out instead of putting in effort get educated.

The other problem is CNN, Fox and others who do this regularly for clickbait know it works. Fake News resonated with people but it was created because people fall for it; every day. 

ABC News did a second article claiming Rudy Guiliani was not part of Trump's impeachment defense team. This was the day after. ABC should have never claimed Guiliani was Trump's lawyer in the first article. 

They did this after I retweeted the tweet by JHogan Gidley's and his statement saying Trump had not made a decision who his lawyer and was going to be and made sure they saw their error and included both ABC News and Gidley.

I am sure they saw his tweet and their error was pointed out by others as well. It isn't the first time national media or local media has corrected their errors after being called out by me. You have to know how to get their attention. And when you have serious readers nationwide, people notice.

Likes, follows, comments do not indicate who reads or views for me or anyone else. I view, read but don't like, follow or comment. So do many other people.

There are many errors like this on networks and mainstream media regularly. Most people don't notice. They just fume and harass those they can vent their anger on and are accessible. All media should not have to pay for the fake news media. Yet, in the last four years, there has been an escalation of abuse.

You get fake news because corrupt money funds it; you get fake news because certain people are willing to be tools to peddle misinformation; you get fake news because of the people who read, support, promote fake news and you get fake news because people think their Facebook group and online forum is "news." 

You get what you invest in whether it is fake news, corrupt elected officials or decades of the one per cent running your life. Powerless people who do nothing to bring change but lash out on media. They scapegoat and are ungrateful for the truth. Cowards who will not take on corruption and abuse of money and power.
