Representative Ruiz is the latest legislator to test positive for the coronavirus since the January 6 riots at Capitol Hill. Nine lawmakers, so far, have contracted the virus. This includes several Democrats who said they were sheltering in a secure room with Republican lawmakers who refused to wear masks.
