(Demetrius Coleman)

Yesterday, when court ended for the day, Demetrius Coleman had just finished testifying about running into Mariah Acosta while "me and my girl were driving." This was in May/June 2019.

Alma Ahumadamendoza did not know about him and Acosta. "It was very awkward." Coleman did not tell Ahumadamendoza about Acosta because he did not want to hurt her feelings.

Judge Wilson has been gone a while and no one knows when he will be back for sure

Trial setting and hearing on three defense motions in Ray Christie's case was continued for the third time this morning so the motions could be heard by Judge Christopher Wilson.

"There is a good reason that the county took away his peace officer powers when he worked for code enforcement. I can't believe he ever passed a background check."

Woke local media ignores Coleman case and crickets from NAACP and black activists

LOCO and TS who did scant coverage of the Demetrius Coleman case, baled on covering the defense case. Nothing new. They do that with other cases and trials; cover a random hearing here or there.

"It wasn't like I was attracted to her. I was just trying to get the bag."

Hands down the best testimony in the Demetrius Coleman case is from the defendant himself. Coleman was  upfront and his no holds barred testimony was in contrast to the lies and evasiveness we heard from Mariah Acosta, Regina Osenbaugh and Jovan Ignjatovic.

South Dakota kidnapping suspect arrested in Mckinleyville

On Oct. 29, 2020, at about 1:22 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center received information that a suspect wanted on kidnapping charges out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was possibly staying in the McKinleyville area.

EPD needs your help solving the 2010 murder of David Rogers

Detective Ron Harpham is working part time for the Eureka Police Department as a retired Reserve Detective, investigating cold homicide cases.

Within 20 minutes of her video interview, Mariah Acosta already lied three times

Defense played the video of Mariah Acosta's interview with Rio Dell Police Chief Jeff Conner in the Demetrius Coleman case. It is 90 minutes long and we saw about 20 minutes before the lunch break. As usual, Acosta added irrelevant details in that interview just as she did in court.

Three cars when Renfro shot, two people in suspect vehicle and one in the passenger seat?

Have no idea if the the People presented any other witness but the defense started with their first witness in Demetrius Coleman jury trial.

After a lot of logistics, murder suspect Ryan Tanner's preliminary finally got going but who knows when it will conclude

Murder suspect Ryan Tanner had a preliminary hearing scheduled to start for two of his cases on October 29. Time estimate is four days. Tanner waived his right to a continuous preliminary hearing.

Thank you firefighters for your hard work despite Newsom's ineptitude in holding utility companies accountable

Gavin Newsom, fires sparked by utility companies is not climate change. That is the cause of some fires and you have failed to address the issue. You are a useless elected official causing thousands of California unneccesary suffering.

Was waiting to see if LOCO corrected glaring error in Demetrius Coleman coverage

(The  testimony about cell phone locations was by John McCutcheon)

Another mistrial for marijuana robbery case

A Mendocino County Superior Court jury returned from its deliberations on Monday morning, October 26th, to announce it was hopelessly deadlocked and would not be able to reach unanimous verdicts.

Your taxpayer dollars were spent on a out of county expert who gave us a tour of Humboldt and where cell phone towers are located

John McCutcheon, a retired investigator from the Sonoma County District Attorney's office and now a private consultant doing cell phone analysis testified in the Demetrius Coleman case.

Demetrius Coleman jurors get election day off

Considering the disorganization and time wasted in the People's portion of the Demetrius Coleman case, I was shocked to hear Judge Kelly Neel tell jurors "we are way ahead of schedule." The trial estimate could have been cut to 1/3 if the People's case had been handled efficiently.

Conduct unbecoming in court, especially from a police chief, was in full display and exposed the small town arrogance of certain Humboldt law enforcement

Setting of jury trial was scheduled for convicted human trafficker David Anderson this morning.

The we got cell phone data was as much of a fizzle as the rest of the People's case in the Coleman trial

Sgt. John Beauchaine was back on the stand in the Demetrius Coleman jury trial this morning. During cross examination by Ms. Andrea Sullivan, Sgt. Beauchaine said he did not follow up regarding Coleman's phone location after Acosta told him about the alleged "kidnap" attempt on her mother.

Dates reset in Richard French's case, he did not rant in court

Richard French is still in custody. He had been previously found not competent to stand trial.

I was not following his case since his confirmation to the State Hospital kept getting continued. Since my last post, criminal proceedings were reinstated.

Sleepy jurors, tainted testimony, sloppy investigation and this is the case the DA thinks is worth a trial and life without parole?

In addition to not pursuing any other suspect leads, not searching Regina Osenbaugh and Jovan Ignjatovic's property, now we have the only witness in the car with one of the principal parties being "helped" for testimony that is helpful to a weak investigation and case. No one went to the police on their own. We have two witnesses in the country illegally and selling black market weed.

“Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack"

In a tweet, Tim Murtaugh, President Trump's  campaign communications director, “Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack.

Rio Dell police chief offered to help pay witness Mariah Acosta with costs for her attorney and help her get legal status

(the tallest guy in the photo is Sgt. Beauchaine, the guy in khakis is Chief Conner)

During Ms. Andrea Sullivan's re cross of Mariah Acosta, she asked her, "You are not in this country lawfully?" Ms. Sullivan asked her if she discussed her immigration status with Rio Dell Police Chief Jeff Conner.

"I am having a little trouble understanding why your mother would think they are trying to kidnap her than offer her a ride."

During cross examination,Mariah Acosta impeached herself by conflicting testimony. She mentioned a conversation with Coleman two days before the shooting. During direct testimony, she claimed she asked him who he was when he came to pick her up on August 29, 2019. Then on redirect, she claimed she knew Coleman was Alma Ahumadamendoz's boyfriend.

"My main reason was to get my sour diesel sample back"

(Coleman)

Mariah Acosta was the next People's witness in the Demetrius Coleman case. She knew Coleman through his girlfriend Alma Ahumadamendoza. She is no longer friends with Ahumadamendoza.

Jovan Ignjatovic also signs immunity agreement with DA, he testifies about some details his wife left out

Before Ms. Andrea Sullivan continued her cross examination of Mike McHenry, Sr. in the Demetrius Coleman case today, Judge Kelly Neel met with attorneys.

On October 22, 2020, at about 6:12 p.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department (EPD) responded to the intersection of 4th and A Streets for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision.

"This is a homicide trial. You must pay attention at all times."

(Johnny Renfro)

(Demetrius Coleman)

After jurors left for lunch, Judge Kelly Neel put two things on the record. One was about eye witness Joshua Moore watching 15 minutes of Investigator Ryan Hill's testimony before Rio Dell Police Chief Jeff Conner told him to stop.

So far we have wasted over half an hour watching the same video for the nth time and it still does not prove that Demetrius Coleman shot Johnny Renfro

(Coleman)

Judge Kelly Neel was scheduled to meet with Ms. Andrea Sullivan and Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer  at 9:15 on October 26. There was no access to view that meeting if it occurred, although livestream was on.

Jurors for the Demetrius Coleman trial were asked to be there at 10 a.m. The first witness is DA Investigator Ryan Hill and minutes are being wasted interviewing him on his assistance and obtaining the surveillance video from 81 Monument Road. There was an approximate two hour discrepancy in the video. While some of Investigator Hill's testimony is neccessary,  it could have been covered by testimony of other witnesses. The questions by the prosecution should be focused and not repetitive. The witnesses for this trial have been presented in the most disorganized order I have seen at any jury trial and quite a few have contributed nothing relevant.
