I already did a post earlier on what happened at trial assignment this morning for convicted human trafficker David Anderson. This is the afternoon update.
Anderson's attorney, Michael Acosta, was a no show and there was no communication from him to the court. At 2:30, after checking all courtrooms and attempting to reach him by email, the jury trial for October 26 was vacated. This isnt the first time Mr. Acosta has done this and specifically in this case.
"There is nothing else we can do," said Judge Lawrence Killoran. " We have done all we can to compel his appearance."
Setting of jury trial is scheduled for October 28.
