Hotels in Humboldt are sold out and booked for days

Recently, Humboldt, Plumas, Sikiyou and Trinity counties were moved into the least restrictive California COVID 19 tier, yellow.

If you live in other parts of California and want to go to a bar, dine indoors, get a haircut, move around with less restriction and escape the California heat, you head to Humboldt.

There are benefits to certain local businesses. Besides housing evacuees and firefighters, hotels are full of out of county guests. Restaurants and certain other  businesses benefit. Most of the decent local hotels are sold out with some rare online vacancies and steep prices.

For many reasons, home sales are doing well in Humboldt. Buyers include the Bay Area, evacuees and others wanting to move here. Even during COVID 19, savvy business owners and those willing to work hard seven days a week are thriving.
