The People's third witness was Shaylynn Lenardo who lives at 70 Monument Road. She was cooking dinner and was with her friend Jenny Ripple when she heard "a couple of gunshots." She could not recall how many gunshots she heard.
Lenardo "looked out her kitchen window that faces the road. She saw a green two door car driving away and the paint seemed to be peeling."
The car was right in front of her house but she could not see inside the car nor could she tell how many people were inside the car.
There was also a blue Jeep Liberty outside her house. She had not seen "either car" prior to that day.
"A gentleman was running down my driveway screaming for help."
Lenardo went outside and saw a man on the ground holding his hands "over his stomach area."
A neighbor came over, Lenardo got some towels and the "neighbor held the towel over the gentleman."
Renfro could not speak. "The cops showed up."
She identified photos of her house, carport area and bullet hole next to the front door of her house.
Lenardo was a good witness but she did not see who shot Renfro.
During a brief cross examination by Ms. Andrea Sullivan, Lenardo said she had lived at the house for a year. At the time of the day when the shooting took place, typically there were "not too many people" and "mild traffic." After the gunshots, there were "three or four neighbors standing in the alleyway."
