No weapon recovered, an unknown person "coming off heroin", a murder investigation and Sgt Beauchaine was arrogant enough to dismiss his actions under cross examination

Demetrius Coleman is lucky to have Ms. Andrea Sullivan as his attorney. As readers have come to know, she puts in  200 percent. She is an excellent defense attorney, respected and successful in several California counties for a reason.

Ms. Sullivan's cross and recross of Rio Dell Sgt. John Beauchaine was so effective that Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer spent time in her redirect trying to do damage control about his relationship with the McHenrys.

The People's fourth witness was Rio Dell Sgt. John Beauchaine and he returned to the stand for the second time. He testified about finding the green Honda. He received a tip on 9/2/19 from Crystal to go to the Murrish Market and look at the video. At the same time, dispatch conveyed a message to him and he spoke with Mike McHenry,Sr. It was mentioned at the preliminary hearing why the green Honda was at the McHenry property. Sgt. Beauchaine found the green Honda with a broken rear window.

As I mentioned previously, I am not going to include testimony covered in the preliminary hearing posts. I have linked those posts and two related posts below.

Sgt. Beauchaine identified photos including those of the McHenry property.

The cross examination definitely showed that Sgt.Beauchaine who has known Mike McHenry, Sr since he was 10 years old; Mike McHenry and Regina McHenry (now Osenbaugh) in elementary and high school repeatedly made judgement calls and decisions about the investigation and all this raises questions about why Rio Dell Police Department never pursued any other suspect.

Twice, during cross and recross, Sgt. Beauchaine was arrogant and felt his decision not to call for backup, not to search a suspect vehicle, not to interview Mike McHenry,Sr, not to do a safety sweep of the McHenry residence was okay. This despite no murder weapon being recovered, a violent murder in a small town, an unknown female on the McHenry property who was "coming off heroin " and who would not answer his questions and no answer at the door.

Local readers wont be surprised but to my regional and national readers, this is typical "Humboldt justice". Who you are and if you are definitely a generational family and a local, there is a side  that other local media and certain local enforcement does not want to address.

This is the case the DA wants life without possibility of parole? If you read my posts on the preliminary, my exclusive posts on Regina Osenbaugh and Jovan Ignjatovic, you should be asking more questions. Is Ignjatovic going to get a sweet deal on his other case for testifying in this case?

I may add a bit more from Sgt. Beauchaine's testimony later.
