Five California counties were moved into different reopening tiers today. Riverside and Shasta counties were moved to the most restrictive category, "purple," due to worsening COVID 19 numbers. Butte and Napa counties were moved from "red" to "orange." San Francisco County was moved to the least restrictive tier, "yellow."
Reopening guidelines were announced for theme parks and amusement parks. Smaller parks can open in counties in the orange tier (at 25% capacity and only to in-county visitors). Larger parks can only reopen (at 25% capacity) for counties in the yellow tier.
In-person attendance at outdoor sporting events in counties that are in the orange tier, with capacity limited to 20%. Counties in the least-restrictive yellow tier can only allow capacity at 25%.
