Sleepy jurors, tainted testimony, sloppy investigation and this is the case the DA thinks is worth a trial and life without parole?

In addition to not pursuing any other suspect leads, not searching Regina Osenbaugh and Jovan Ignjatovic's property, now we have the only witness in the car with one of the principal parties being "helped" for testimony that is helpful to a weak investigation and case. No one went to the police on their own. We have two witnesses in the country illegally and selling black market weed.

One key witness gets legal status for her testimony. Two key witnesses get immunity agreements from the District Attorney. Three witnesses who a Rio Dell Sgt knows from childhood.

No one who actually saw the shooting. Surveillance video that does not identify the driver. Eye witness testimony tainted by people talking, reading news articles and watching testimony on livestream before testifying. And sleepy, distracted jurors.

1. In this political climate, would such a weak case with a white victim go to trial? With the David Lawson case constantly in the news, did it affect the DA's decision on how to prosecute this case.

2. The defendant is black and his girlfriend is a person of color. Charges were dismissed against Alma Ahumadamendoza after the preliminary hearing. Judge Timothy Canning said evidence was weak against Demetrius Coleman after the preliminary hearing. The DA amends the charges and takes the case to trial.

3. Marci Kitchen was a white defendant. She had money. She had connections in this small town. If anyone deserved to be put away for life, it was her.

This case is not worth the resources and time wasted on it when many victims and their families are awaiting justice.
