Victoria Shirley Clarke was arrested yesterday for domestic battery. I stopped covering her in 2018 but she has been arrested several times since then for domestic battery and assault. In 2015, when I first started covering her, she had 43 cases in the system.
She was arrested for stabbing in the Arcata Plaza, she has substance issues, she screams, yells, assaults whatever man she is with at the time. For years, in Old Town, near the Courthouse, she would beat David Dues.
Criminal justice reform and rehabilitation does not work on repeat offenders like Clark. For the safety of the community, especially the people on the streets, Clark should be sentenced to prison.
10/19 update: Clark was released on O.R.
