Within 20 minutes of her video interview, Mariah Acosta already lied three times

Defense played the video of Mariah Acosta's interview with Rio Dell Police Chief Jeff Conner in the Demetrius Coleman case. It is 90 minutes long and we saw about 20 minutes before the lunch break. As usual, Acosta added irrelevant details in that interview just as she did in court.

Within just a couple of minutes, Acosta said her first lie about not knowing Coleman's name. Alma Ahumadamendoza told Acosta on August 28, 2019 that Coleman was her fiance and his first name. Acosta left this part out when she testified in court.

In the interview while talking about the very next day, August w9, 2019, Acosta referred to him as "that black guy". She said she cannot always understand the way "black people talk." Her strong reaction to Ahumadamendoza and Coleman as a couple is not the way a stranger reacts to someone. As raised in cross examination, did Acosta know and have a prior relationship with Coleman?

Within 20 minutes, Acosta admitted she lied twice. First to her friend, Kristen about hanging out with  Alma Ahumadamendoza. Then to Ahumadamendoza about having a driver's license. Acosta just lies at the drop of the hat and it is all about what works for her and what is in it for her.

She is getting help from the DA and police to become legal and she gave the police and the DA the story they wanted to hear in exchange. Acosta, like the People's other witnesses read news articles on the case and all of them were in person and online discussing the shooting and case. Like I said before; tainted statements.

On August 29, 2019,  Ahumadamendoza told Acosta that Coleman's mother in North Dakota had Stage 4 cancer and was going to die shortly.

In addition to Chief Conner, her attorney, Nr. Greg Rael was there and two DA investigators came in shortly after the interview started.

A lot of her court testimony was exactly like the interview we saw. Every single word, including pausing and crying like she did in court when she was talking about being at the gas station in Hydesville. Did she watch the video of her interview? No one says every sentence exactly the same, word to word, months later.

Between the inconsistencies in her court testimony and the lies in this video, this interview exposes Acosta very effectively.

In the video, she mentions a  Reggie and a Cookie. I dont know why she felt the need to stress Reggie was a "black guy". She feels the need to mention Coleman and Reggie are black in her interview, a lot. In addition to her disdain for black men, she dislikes lesbians. Acosta felt the need to point that out in her interview about Cookie. She also overhears a lot of conversations and knows a lot about marijuana robberies. She does not known Coleman but eavesdrops on one conversation and surmises that Reggie and Coleman are friends. Coleman who she claims is a stranger.

She also claimed Reggie sets up people to be robbed based on a beef she had with Reggie.

Court appointed investigator for the defense, Mr Cisco Lassiter, testified about two phone numbers belonging to Coleman. In a forensic download of Mariah Acosta's cell phone, there was contact on June 28, 2019 between Acosta's phone and Coleman's phone with the area of (510)  and two contacts on Sept 1 and 3 on the phone with a (707) area code. The forensic download from Acosta's phone was 21,000 pages and was received a week ago by Mr. Lassiter.
