Michael Avenatti defensive about articles on restraining order and defamation lawsuit filed against Julie Swetnick

Brett Kavanaugh’s third accuser Julie Swetnick was sued in 2001 for domestic violence by Richard Vinneccy, her former boyfriend. He is a registered Democrat.

"Sexual assault is horrific. It is morally wrong. It is illegal. It is contrary to my religious faith. "

"Eleven days ago, Dr. Ford publicly accused me of committing a serious wrong more than 36 years ago when we were both in high school. I denied the allegation immediately, unequivocally, and categorically. The next day, I told this Committee that I wanted to testify as soon as possible, under oath, to clear my name."

"Both Brett and Mark were drunkenly laughing during the attack. They both seemed to be having a good time. "

"When I got to the small gathering, people were drinking beer in a small living room on the first floor of the house. I drank one beer that evening. Brett and Mark were visibly drunk. Early in the evening, I went up a narrow set of stairs leading from the living room to a second floor to use the bathroom. When I got to the top of the stairs, I was pushed from behind into a bedroom. I couldn't see who pushed me. Brett and Mark came into the bedroom and locked the door behind them."

Until the two parties start acting like adults, give them a time out. Switch to being an independent voter. Make the politicians and their funders work for your vote.

This week, I switched back to being an independent voter.

Thad, let's talk about your and NCJ errors, unlike your PR piece defending the DA's debacle in the Marci Kitchen case

Thad let's talk about errors.

You may have forgotten your error in the Gary Bullock case where you screwed up majorily writing about the jury. This was in a case you attended for about an hour.

I will refresh your memory.

Let's not forget this pathetic hit piece.

Ben Okin sent me a private email about  Allan Dollison's legal analysis on Marci Kitchen's sentence. Ben Okin who is  one of Marci Kitchen's former lawyers. I am sure there were others  who were unhappy too about Allan's analysis. It exposed the Humboldt Superior Court system.

HSU Police alert public about suspicious individual

The University Police Department is advising the Humboldt State University community to be on the alert for a suspicious individual.

Kudos to "Word" for calling out the hypocrisy of selective "sources of bail" motions by the DA

That's great that the DA wants to examine the source of bail for Ariel Sosa. The only other high profile case this issue was raised by the DA was in the Kailan Meserve case. If legit bail is an issue, then why has it not been examined in more cases.

Is having a third Judge hear the DA's argument on the Ariel Sosa motions have a different result?

Motion to increase bail and  motion to examine source of bail for Ariel Arguelles Sosa  as well as motion to amend the complaint for both Ariel and Abdiel Sosa was continued to September 24.

So, when will Marci Kitchen be leaving the Humboldt Hilton?

This is the statement I got from the Corrections Captain today via HCSO PIO Samantha Karges:

"It is the responsibility of the courts to provide the Sheriff’s Office with a prison transport packet for anyone sentenced to prison. Once the Correctional Facility receives it, we make transportation arrangements for the individual to be transported to the appropriate facility."

Was 8 years all Marci Kitchen receive? A legal analysis calling out the Court and how the DA's office can fix the sentencing error

"Like many others in the Humboldt Community I watched with great interest the recent Kitchen sentencing. I have nothing but compassion for the victims and their family members. Of course one of the hardest aspects of the case to grasp is that one family member of a victim was the Defendant in the case.

One aspect of the case that needs to be looked at carefully is that both victims deserve justice. Punishment should be meted out to account for the fact that their were two victims and not one.
