Jane Doe #4 wiped tears as she testified about the inappropriate touching by Andrew Cunningham who is her grandmother's son

Preliminary hearing was scheduled on September 12 for alleged molestor Andrew Cunningham.

There are four alleged sexual abuse victims  and 40,000 pornographic images. Cunningham is charged with 5 felony counts. Each count has  special allegations.

At a previous court hearing, Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schafer said Jane Doe # 4 is Cunningham's cousin. Today, Jane Doe #4 said Cunningham was her "grandmother's son." She is 20 years old now. The alleged inappropriate touching happened between the ages of 5 and ended at 12 or 13 years old.

Jane Doe's 1, 2 and 3 were friends with Cunningham's son. Ms. Schaffer said that Cunningham's M.O. was that during sleepovers, the children slept in the living room. Cunningham would wait until others were asleep and then lay down next to the alleged victim and "rub their genital area". There was penetration with Jane Doe #1, she described pain. Jane Doe #3 "woke up with defendant's hands on her hip."

Allegations that Cunningham was abusing his own sons were disputed by Cunningham's attorney, Mr. Michael Robinson at a previous hearing. He said the boys denied the allegations and that Cunningham's wife worked at CWS.

The father of Jane Doe 1, 2 and 3 has known Cunningham for 30 years and considered him a best friend.

Certain family members yelled their own names outside court previously and identified the alleged victims, there have been comments all over social media and the alleged victims were identified again by a certain family member using his real name in the North Coast News comment section prior to this preliminary hearing.  So while the alleged victims will be still referred to Jane Does in my coverage (as always) and no exact address will be  given in my coverage, the names of the adults as part of my testimony will be used just as in other court case.
