Will the Casa Ramos raid have any local impact?

Mexican restaurant chain Casa Ramos closed several locations after the California Department of Justice issued search warrants yesterday at all 14 locations across Northern California.

The investigation is being handled by the Tax Recovery and Criminal Enforcement Task Force, also known as TRACE. Since it is an ongoing investigation, not much information is available at this time.

Michelle Hill is listed as partner and CEO of Tres Picosos in Eureka. She was the former employee of the Casa Ramos chain. She was  also identified as a long term partner of Marcos Ramos in an online obituary.

Whether the Casa Ramos investigation will have any local impact  is unknown at this time.

I am following up on this story and I have contacted the DOJ. This is the response I got from DOJ at 10:31 a.m.

"Thank you for your inquiry. The operation was part of the TRaCE Task Force. To protect its integrity, we can’t comment on ongoing criminal investigations."

I have contacted Ms. Hill.

This is a statement on the Casa Ramos Yreka Facebook page :
