Stipulated sentence of 16 years for Mario Nunez and Joe Olivo in the Jesus Garcia homicide case

Joe Olivo Jr and Mario Nunez are scheduled to be sentenced on September 17 for the death if Jesus Garcia.

Mario Nunez and Joe Olivo Jr entered a guilty plea on August 29 to the amended charge of voluntary manslaughter, PC 192 (a) and amended gang enhancement PC 186.22 (b) for a stipulated sentence of 16 years.

Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is prosecuting the case. Mr. David Celli is representing Mario Nunez. Mr. George Mavris is representing Joe Olivo Jr.

The third co-defendant Joe Olivo III is represented bg Ms. Andrea Sullivan. His sentencing is scheduled for October 4.
