Not the first time there has been a suspicious fire extinguished at St. Bernard's church

This door can be easily accessed from 6th street, this is a photo I took.

EPD Press Release:

On September 10, 2018, at about 5:06 a.m., officers of the Eureka Police Department (EPD) responded to Saint Bernard’s Church for a suspicious fire report.

Humboldt Bay Fire Department personnel had extinguished a small fire to an exterior door of the facility. The fire appeared to be suspicious in nature, but caused minor damage.

Officers are investigating this event as an arson and are requesting the public’s help in identifying a possible suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage.
