"Mr. Simpson owes Mrs. Cunningham a bunch of money for rent. Mrs. Cunningham bailed Steve Simpson out of jail . Mr. Simpson owes Mr. Cunningham a bunch of money."

(Cunningham)

During cross examination of HCSO Investigator Mark Peterson, Andrew Cunningham's attorney, Mr. Michael Robinson asked him, "In addition to friendship, Stephen Simpson worked together with Mr. Cunningham."

Investigator Peterson responded, "on and off " to the working together.

"Mr. Cunningham's mother was a financial benefactor to Mr. Simpson," said Mr. Robinson.

Mr. Robinson made a statement about Stephen Simpson and Tiffany Wright being  activist parents in the investigation against Cunningham.

Investigator Peterson responded, "Ms. Wright brought the children for the initial report." She transported them to the CAST interviews.

When asked by Mr. Robinson about the frequency  of the phone calls from Tiffany Wright after Cunningham remained in custody and could not post bail again, Investigator Peterson acknowledged the phone calls "diminished."

"Mr. Simpson owes Mrs. Cunningham a bunch of money for rent," said Mr. Robinson. " Mrs. Cunningham bailed Steve Simpson out of jail . Mr. Simpson owes Mr. Cunningham a bunch of money."

These statements caught Investigator Peterson by surprise. Mr. Robinson said the bail paid for Simpson by Mrs. Cuningham was related to a shooting in Fields Landing.

"Mr. Simpson was very interested in Mr. Cunningham going to jail," said Mr. Robinson.  Mr. Robison then told Investigator Petersen that Simpson was "stalking" Cunningham.

Investigator Peterson acknowledged the that Simpson wanted to see Cunningham go to jail.

"You told the boys to stay away from their father," asked Mr. Robinson.

"Yes," said Investigator Peterson.

"You never had a court order to tell Leticia to keep him away from the boys?" asked Mr. Robinson.

Investigator Peterson then said it was an informal request. Leticia is the mother of Cunningham's sons.  Investigator Peterson was not aware that Andrew Cunningham and Leticia were not married.

"There is no legal order prohibiting Mr. Cunningham  contact with his boys?"

"I don't know the particulars of their child custody," said Investigator Peterson.

Investigator Peterson confirmed he did not tell Cunningham's sons the nature of the allegations against their father. Mr. Robinson said that it was "Steve Simpson who told the boys."

Mr. Robinson also got Investigator to admit that Cunningham's older son never mentioned any physical abuse.

In the second CAST interview, which was prompted by Leticia contacting Investigator Peterson, the older son had more details. By this time the sons knew the nature of the allegations against Cunningham.

Mr. Robinson also questioned Investigator Peterson about the search warrant about a "purported sex toy" which was never recovered by law enforcement or seen when the search warrant was executed. The homemade sex toy came up in the 2nd CAST interview.

Earlier on direct, Investigator Peterson testified that V4 ,(Cunningham's older son) had mentioned seeing something on Cunningham's nightstand, a pair of jeans stuffed with something. V4 thought the jeans could possibly be Jane Doe #1's.

On cross, Investigator Peterson there was no proof of the jeans belonging to Jane Doe #1, it was an assumption. Investigator Peterson also said, "V4 was not able to articulate what a fake vagina was." That statement was in connection to a description of this alleged homemade sex toy mentioned during direct testimony.
