Three cars when Renfro shot, two people in suspect vehicle and one in the passenger seat?

Have no idea if the the People presented any other witness but the defense started with their first witness in Demetrius Coleman jury trial.

Jury trial was supposed to start at 9:30 a.m. There was a network issue so that had to be fixed and the trial started late. The livestream was not on until I informed someone to let the court know so missed witness' name and testimony.

Coco Niles was the first defense witness. She said except for a couple of questions, the police never interviewed her. She thought two people in jackets were FBI because of the "windbreakers" they were wearing. They could have been DA Investigators.

She is the first person to describe three cars; one additional car besides the Blue Jeep Liberty and green Honda. She also testified about "someone sitting in the backseat." She was adamant there were three cars. And two to three people in the vehicle suspect vehicle, "at least two." She also mentioned driver of "Car #3" having braids. She is the only one to mention a verbal exchange between Renfro and whoever shot him.

Her testimony was confusing at times but made sense after a question Ms. Sullivan asked during redirect. Ms. Sullivan asked Niles about several head injuries she had since age 15. Niles admitted she has issues with directions.

Niles also said the police had made up their mind about what happened and the questions were more like statements. She said they were arrogant and told her she didnt see it; instead stated what happened.

This trial has had numerous technical issues with livestream and audio not being turned on and it is frustrating to miss testimony. Court tech has been in that courtroom a lot. Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer leaves her computer screen on the livestream and blocks out the view so you miss seeing the witness or information on a chalkboard.

COVID 19 has affected all business but with courts, it is a disaster. These pandemic related closures are now in the eight month and California has no plan to address the issues caused by masses working remotely.
