On October 10, 2020, at approximately 2250 hours, a male juvenile was driving a Ford F-150 eastbound on SR-162 at Biggar Lane at a high rate of speed. For an unknown reason, the male juvenile drove the Ford off the south roadway edge and collided head-on into an iron fence followed by a wood utility pole, where the Ford came to rest partially blocking the southbound traffic lane of Biggar Lane. The male juvenile was ejected from the Ford and came to rest on the paved asphalt roadway of Biggar Lane, just south of SR-162. The male juvenile succumbed to his injuries and he was pronounced deceased at the scene by Mendocino County Deputy Coroner.
