Not sure what the point of Arcata Police Department Officer Tyler Moore's testimony was and it was very brief. There has been no dispute raised about the green Honda or the fact that Alma Ahumadamendoza is Demetrius Coleman's girlfriend. Charges against Ahumadamendoza were dismissed after the preliminary hearing.
All we saw was a brief clip from May 31, 2019 of a traffic stop. Ahumadamendoza was driving and Coleman was in the passenger seat.
"Was there anything memorable about the traffic stop? was the only question Ms. Andrea Sullivan asked Officer Moore during cross examination.
"The only thing that stuck out was the female's driver license was suspended but she didn't have notice." There was no arrest.
The next witness was Jolene Lyons. She lives at 81 Monument Road. It was surveillance from the video cameras at her house that captured the shooting. Lyons was not home at the time of the shooting.
Ms. Sullivan had no questions for Lyons.
The last three People's witnesses were all brief and did not contribute anything relevant or establish that Coleman shot Renfro or that he was even in the green Honda that evening.
Court morning session ended early for lunch and court is over for today.
