“No true supporter of mine could ever endorse political violence.”

Following his impeachment, the White House  released a  pre recorded video that resulted in #Teleprompter Trump trending.

Trump made no mention of his impeachment.

"No true supporter of mine could ever endorse political violence. No true supporter of mine could ever threaten or harass their fellow Americans. If you do any of these things, you are not supporting our movement. You are attacking it and you are attacking our country.”

“I want to make it very clear: I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week."

These are only excerpts of the speech. There were excuses for his supporters and digs at being cendored expressed in words crafted by whoever wrote the statement.

As the number of Republicans voting to impeach him started to increase and while impeachment proceedings were going on, this statement was released by Trump.

“In light of reports of more demonstrations, I urge that there must be NO violence, NO lawbreaking and NO vandalism of any kind. That is not what I stand for, and it is not what America stands for. I call on ALL Americans to help ease tensions and calm tempers. Thank You.”

This from the same man who delayed sending in the National Guard, watched with glee his supporters on January 6 at the U.S.  Capitol, will not resign, took back similar apologies minutes and hours later and is doing this after being banned on several social media platforms, financial laws and facing legal consequences.
