Judge heard arguments in Ray Christie's federal lawsuit, took matter under submission

 

This morning U.S. District Judge Noël Wise heard arguments on County of Humboldt's motion to dismiss Ray Christie's federal lawsuit.

Ray Christie is suing County of Humboldt, former HCSO Deputy Travis Mendes, former Humboldt Deputy DA Adrian Kamada, Sheriff Honsal.

Larson's Mr. Rick Richmond and Ms. Caroline G. Glennie-Smith are the two attorneys primarily working on this lawsuit for Ray Christie. Ms. Donna Sotera Zamora-Stevens joined the team for the federal lawsuit. Ms. Glennie-Smith wanted to appear remotely. Larson Partner Mr. R.C. Harlan and Ms. Zamora-Stevens appeared at today's hearing.

I briefly spoke with Mr. Richmond just now. "Yes, Judge Wise heard arguments from both sides and took it under submission. She did not provide any tentative opinion and did not indicate during the argument how she was inclined to rule."

Humboldt Deputy County Counsel Joel Campbell-Blair and Destinee Valeska are both working on this lawsuit.
