At trial confirmation for murder suspect Daniella Moore today, defense requested another trial confirmation scheduled for 8/16. Jury trial is scheduled for 9/6/22. Time estimate is two months.
Hannah Hayhurst's mother, Lynn, who I worked with at CWS, passed away in 2020. Now three years later, this case has yet to go to trial and the Hayhurst family is dealing with two losses.
Moore had entered an additional plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. There had been conflicting opinions from doctors who evaluated her.
Assistant Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is Moore's attorney. Public Defender Luke Brownfield appeared in court today for Mr. Russo. He requested further trial confirmation which was scheduled for 8/16.
8/16: Jury trial date remains as scheduled.
