Convicted sex offender charged with criminal threats, possession of meth and failure to register


Convicted sex offender Robert Munts was arraigned yesterday in his case resulting from his most recent arrest on August 26 by Eureka Police Department. The Public Defender's office was appointed. Munts arraignment was continued by the Court to this afternoon for confirmation of counsel. Munts was unable to attend court yesterday. Bail set at $55,000.

The DA has charged Munts with PC 422 criminal threats, PC 290.011(a) failure to register as a sex offender, two counts of HS 11377 (a) possession of a meth and a special allegation of prior serious felony convictions.





8/31: Public Defender relieved and Conflict Counsel appointed. OR/bail continued to 9/2.
