Anyone shocked that Planning Commission intends to make Travis Schneider's project exempt from environmental review?

Missing in the days old coverage of the last Planning Commission meeting by Lost Coast Outpost and North Coast Journal are three facts. Is it ignorance, selective coverage or laziness or all of the above?

There is a lawsuit between Schneider's Pacific Affiliates and Cher-Ae Heights Casino that I covered on this blog. Both are suing each other.

Schneider told me himself that his wife is related to Humboldt Superior Court Judge Joyce Hinrichs. Schneider and his wife own Bode Property Management.

In Humboldt, most business owners, property management companies and developers have connections in court, law enforcement and politics. This isn't a local right or conservative issue  because the same entrenched system benefits those on the local left. Different rules and selective enforcement for those who have old local money and work the system. Will the tribes sue after the last Planning Commission meeting.
