Saw 4th of July suspect Dylan Olivas strutting about the 2nd floor like he is some badass before court today. After court, he walked away like a deflated balloon.
Judge Kaleb Cockrum denied the People's motion for remand but no 977 appearances allowed for Olivas.
Olivas was arraigned for his 4th of July case and a 2019 case where he also had a failure to appear and a warrant was issued.
Public Defender's office was appointed for Olivas.
In his 2019 case, Olivas is charged with PC 148 (a) (1) and PC 647 (f). There is a pre trialin that case on 9/21. Olivas' preliminary hearing for the 4th of July incident is scheduled on the same day as his co-defendant Joseph Boxell.
The two suspects were arrested at different times, arraigned at different times and finally their preliminary hearing is on the same date unless something else changes.
I just did a detailed post yesterday and several before with exclusive information and each post has new details.
Olivas' 2019 complaint:
Since the case is no longer in early resolution court, his failure to appear and new charges, I doubt the early resolution court offer is still on the table.
