Robert Leroy Ellis was arrested by Eureka Police Department yesterday for PC 273.5 (d) corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
Section (d) is traumatic condition meaning a condition of the body, such as a wound, or external or internal injury, including, but not limited to, injury as a result of strangulation or suffocation, whether of a minor or serious nature, caused by a physical force. For purposes of this section, “strangulation” and “suffocation” include impeding the normal breathing or circulation of the blood of a person by applying pressure on the throat or neck.
He has a 2022 traffic case with a conviction. A 2021 family case. A 2020 case which is still open with charges for PC 496 (d) buy/receiving a 2005 Dodge Ram, VC12951 (b) failing to present a driver's license to a peace officer and VC 4462.5 presenting o displaying false evidence of registration of a vehicle.
