Curry Leaf expected to open in a month at former Gonsea location

Curry Leaf has applied for a beer and wine license. Windows and doors are boarded up when I stopped by yesterday. This is at 2335 4th Street, the former Gonsea location, across from Target.

Crews were working outside, some on electrical wiring. If all goes to plan, the new eatery owned by Joe Tan will offer Thai, Indian, Malaysia and Chinese inspired dishes. Curry Leaf is an Asian Fusion restaurant with a sake bar. The ABC license applicant is Curry Leaf Corporation.

9/6: Curry Leaf did a soft opening and are already busy. I stopped by and spoke with owner Chef Joe Tan about the grand opening and menu.
