In July 2021, I reported that Cassandra Hesseltine, Film Commissioner for the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission has filed a lawsuit against Cher-ae-Heights Casino and the Trinidad Rancheria. Hesseltine's attorney works for the local Zwerdling Law Firm. Cher-ae- Heights is represented by an attorney with the Gordon Rees law firm in San Francisco.
The plaintiff's case management conference statement filed July 7 and defendant's case management conference statement filed July 11 provides some details.
There was nothing to update because Case Management Conferences keep getting continued. Since the last post, there was one scheduled continued to 4/8/22. It was continued to 7/22/22. The last hearing was continued by the Court to 9/30/22 because neither attorneys and parties were not present.
