Former HCSO Lt. Greg Allen was sworn in as Rio Dell Police Chief of Police by Mayor Debra Garnes yesterday.
Rio Dell City Manager Kyle Knopp said City members of Chief Allen’s family which included Greg Allen Jr., Gabrielle Branchini, Sophia Bates and Angela Viale were present for the ceremony.
Second District Supervisor Michelle Bushnell, First District Supervisor Rex Bohn, Ferndale Police Chief of Ron Sligh, Fortuna Police Chief Casey Day, Rio Dell Fire Chief Shane Wilson, Rio Dell Chamber President Nick Angeloff and numerous members of the community and allied Humboldt County law enforcement agencies were also in attendance.
