Trial confirmation for Waterfront explosion suspect Darin Vitolo was scheduled for June 21. Four other cases were on for trial. In the middle of a jury trial for his 2021 case; a mistrial was declared on May 10.
Deputy District Attorney Luke Bernthal is the prosecutor. Deputy Public Defender David Celli is Vitolo's attorney.
Vitolo requested a Marsden hearing. Before the courtroom was closed, there was a reference to Vitolo representing himself. The courtroom was closed briefly. Vitolo withdrew his request for the Marsden.
His writ of habeaus corpus was dismissed on June 2.
6/25: Vitolo's trial is scheduled to be assigned on 6/28. Whether it proceeds that day remains to be seen.
