Convicted felon Horacio Miranda, Jr. enters a plea before preliminary hearing

Change of plea was scheduled this morning for convicted felon Horacio Miranda, Jr. He had two cases on calendar. Both are from 2021. It went through this morning. At least, one case resolved before the preliminary hearing.

One case was dismissed with a Harvey reservation. Sentencing for the other case is on July 27. Certain counts were dismissed in that case.

Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm is the prosecutor. Mr. Joe Judge is Miranda's attorney.

7/27: Sentencing was continued to August 19 because Miranda was unable to meet with Probation due to quarantine restrictions.

8/19: Sentencing keeps getting continued. This time by the Court to 8/26 because statement of mitigation was received late and Court needs time to review.
