Is the drug community grapevine correct about Terry Cook being the Orick gunshot victim?

I was given a tip that the the gun shot victim from yesterday  is Terry Cook an alleged drug dealer from Orick. Terry Cook is a common local name and there are multiple facebook accounts. This is information circulating among the informal drug dealer/drug community.

I reached out to HCSO PIO Samantha Karges to confirm if Terry Cook is the victim and asked when the identity of the Orick gunshot male victim will be released?

She responded, "John, we are currently in the process of notifying next of kin. We anticipate release of the victim’s identification tomorrow or Monday. "

The victim may or may not be Terry Cook. As for the alleged drug dealing, considering the source use your own judgement.

On 6/29/21, HCSO issued a press release. The investigation is still ongoing.

On 7/7/21, HCSO issued another press release.
