Humboldt Bay Fire station open to the public

The State of California has retired the “Blueprint for a Safer Economy,” and Humboldt County has lifted the Shelter-in-Place and Facial Coverings orders, removing nearly all COVID-19 pandemic-related precautions.

Additionally, the Division of Occupational Safety and Health- Cal/OSHA- revised COVID-19 safety regulations for California’s workplaces and Governor Gavin Newsom issued an Executive Order to implement the relaxed rules effective immediately.

With these modifications in place, Humboldt Bay Fire has also revised our COVID-19 Prevention Plan.  Effective immediately, all Humboldt Bay Fire stations will re-open to the public. We ask that individuals who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear facial coverings while inside our stations.

Masks are optional for individuals who are two weeks past their final COVID-19 vaccination dose.

Services previously placed on hold due to the pandemic will also resume, including activities such as station tours, school visits, and fire inspections.  Humboldt Bay Fire crews will continue to practice increased safety protocols, such as wearing facial coverings, while responding to 9-1-1 calls.

Humboldt Bay Fire, the City of Eureka, and the County of Humboldt will continue to evaluate the threat of COVID-19 to our community and provide updates as warranted. We remain committed to the safety of our community.
