On July 9 and 10 2020, these posts were on the Justice for David Josiah Lawson Facebook Page. I did not do a post because the video in question had not been seen or authenticated by law enforcement or any legal authority. I also did not report on it because it was a claim by someone who said they have a video. If there was one, post a few seconds as proof.
The rest of the local media ran with the headlines and tv clips about this Facebook post . None of them have followed up for a year about the video.
In fact, no mention of the video since July 2020. No mention of these videos when Charmaine Lawson was in town in April 2021.
I have heard a lot about systemic racism, maligning all of Humboldt as racist, blaming the Humboldt DA's office, Go Fund me pages but nothing about this video. What happened to the so called video? Does the California Attorney General have it? Why is there no update?
Let us assume it exists. Where is the anger towards these people who sat on evidence they claim they have? They were too afraid of whom?
Law enforcement won't be upset with them. The DA's office won't be upset with them. Those who want this case solved won't be upset with them. The only ones upset with them would be those afraid of the truth and the legal consequences.
No one came forward when it mattered before, during or after the preliminary hearing.
All the media who have this connection to Charmaine Lawson and cover the vigils, why have you not asked about this video?
