8 cases, no show in court with new charges and the warrant is just held until the next court date?

Eight cases were on calendar today for Eric Harmon. One of them was on for trial confirmation for a jury trial scheduled for July 12. Seven cases were on for amended petitions for violation of probation.

Due to COVID 19 rules, Harmon was released from custody. Since then he has refused to accept probation as a resolution and today was a no show in court in person or via Zoom.

Deputy Conflict Counsel Owen Tipps asked Judge Timothy Canning for a continuance and said he had no recent contact with Harmon.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer appeared on the case for the People. She asked bench warrants be issued and held until June 28. Warrants for $15,000 each were issued in 4 cases; $5,000 each for three cases and $25,000 for one case.

6/28: Harmon was unable to connect via video so trial confirmation was continued to July 1.

7/1: Defense request granted to defendant's medical circumstances. Trial confirmation is on 10/26/21; jury trial is on 11/821.

Harmon is one of many criminals and there is not much happening in his case. This maybe one of those cases that I may cover in the future, depending on what happens or this maybe the last update.
