Gallagher's which is currently located at 2nd and C in the Eagle House Inn is moving to the former Shenanigans Pizza location at 4th and Q in July 2021. I reached out to Kelly Erben who owns both businesses. I want to thank her for being open in discussing the reasons for her move.
Often people do not tell the reason in this small town about the challenges they face in running a small business.
The fact that COVID 19 has devastated the restaurant industry is a fact. It has been worse in states such as California and New York.
"It's hard to run two restaurants with a crew shortage due to COVID 19 as well as the loss of income due to take out," said Erben. " The lease also ended. It is too expensive at Eagle House, with difficult landlords and a location infested by mice which are the two biggest factors in the move. It will be similar atmosphere, keeping our ship theme and the menu. The shorter ceiling and awesome new stove are some of the positives at the new location."
