Restoration of competency for kidnapping and assault suspect Chai Her continued by the Court

 

Restoration of competency was scheduled for kidnapping and assault suspect Chai Her on July 13.

It was continued by the Court to July 7 because Her has not been transported to the Humboldt County jail from the State Hospital. 

7/7: It was continued by the defense today to July 19.

7/19: Competency restored. Criminal proceedings reinstated. Preliminary hearing scheduled for August 16.

8/16: Preliminary continued to 9/1 at defense request to allow time for further discussions on a possible resolution.

9/1: Preliminary continued to September 30.

9/30: Preliminary continued to October 7 for change of plea.
