Nomination papers for Eureka Mayor and three Council positions were available starting July 18. I have checked twice with Assistant City Manager and City Clerk Pam Powell if anyone had pulled paperwork or filed papers for Mayor and City Council member for First Ward, Third and Fifth Ward.
"I have had folks come in to pull paperwork, but no one has returned their forms and/or qualified. We don’t release names until that has occurred," said Ms.Powell when I checked on July 21. Today, she told me, "No one has qualified as of yet."
