Javier Ruiz-Keyes arrested for human trafficking, pimping and pandering

 



Convicted felon Javier Ruiz-Keyes was arrested by Humboldt County Drug Task Force on a Ramey warrant yesterday forPC 266i pandering, PC 266 h pimping and PC 236.1(c)(2) human trafficking.

Keyes was arrested in May 2022 by HCDTF. Seems to have had a haircut since the May booking photo.

In May 2022, Keyes was booked on the following charges.

HS 11351 Possession of cocaine for sale

HS 11352(a) Transportation of cocaine 

HS 11352(b) Transportation of cocaine across non-contiguous counties

HS 11370.1 Possession of controlled substance while armed

PC 29800(a) Felon in possession of a firearm 

PC 25850  Loaded firearm in a vehicle

PC 25400(a)3  Carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle

HCDTF Press Release (11:29 a.m.):

On Tuesday May 5th, 2022, Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF) arrested Javier Akeem Ruiz-Keyes (30 years old from Arcata) for trafficking cocaine into Humboldt County while armed. 

After this arrest occurred, further investigation by HCDTF Agents revealed that Ruiz-Keyes was involved in human trafficking, pimping, and pandering of multiple victims throughout the state of California. 

On Thursday, August 4th, 2022, HCDTF Agents, with assistance from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Javier Akeem Ruiz-Keyes under the authority of a Ramey arrest warrant and booked him at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility (HCCF) for the following charges:

PC236.1 Human Trafficking

PC266H Pimping 

PC266I Pandering 

Javier Akeem Ruiz Keyes is being held at the HCCF without bail.
