Dustin Latham's motion to reduce bailbackfires on him in many ways thanks to "Hotshot Deputy DA"

Assault suspect Dustin Latham's motion to reduce bail backfired on him. His custody status is now no bail. In addition to that, the excellent argument by Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm has now solidified on record the kind of criminal Latham is and thanks to Mr. Timm and Judge Kaleb Cockrum, the witnesses and public are safe. Latham is ineligible for probation due to two prior felonies.

The court minutes sum up why Mr. Timm earned the nickname "Hotshot Deputy DA" months after he was first hired and it is still the best description. I didn't coin that moniker and I have told who did several times so Google him on my blog.

Latham rejected a plea offer by the People and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
