The Humboldt Deputy Sheriffs Organization (HDSO) is proud to officially announce their endorsement of Mike Newman for 4th District Supervisor.
"Mike has been a true public servant in our community and we've seen that he works for everyone, not just those he's politically aligned with. That selflessness and willingness to hear from everyone is what makes him a good fit as our next Supervisor," said Destry Henderson, HDSO President.
"Law enforcement and public safety are one of the critical pillars of county government, and THE essential service our community needs before anything else can get done. Well paid, professional deputies should be a priority for all of us, and Mike is committed to seeing that county residents are protected, and county employees are respected."
HDSO commends Mike for his service on the Measure Z committee, and on the county's planning commission.
HDSO is the second largest public employees union in Humboldt County, and represents first responders including deputies, District Attorney Investigators, Probation employees and dispatchers.
