Kudos to City of Arcata for this idea, City of Eureka should do the same

There are some businesses and organizations in Eureka who are doing regular cleanups but there are plenty of Facebook and online keyboard whiners who are on social media 24/7. Since they can afford to sit around, they can grab a broom, a garbage bag or tackle some of the weeds, at least once a month. City of Eureka Public works is stretched thin. 

If you are arrested for a Eureka Municipal Code violation, instead of the City of Eureka wasting time and money in court when these things get dismissed or resolved as a part of plea, offenders should be cited and fined which they can work off by helping Uplift, EPD, Eureka Rescue Mission or Teen Challenge. For those wanting a non religious option, they can choose Uplift or EPD.
