That Mauricio Johnson hearing today was just a hearing to receive the Prohibited Persons Relinquishment Form. He is housed at the Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran. Parole eligibility dates change but as of today, Johnson is eligible for parole in February 2045.
Two previous hearings on 3/9/ and 3/22 to receive the form were continued. Many defendants have this form submitted after sentencing through their attorney so this is not unusual.
Judge Canning ruled the matter be dropped from calendar and the form be submitted to the Court without a future hearing date.
