Humboldt Auction yard source revealed, one cow dead two weeks before 2018 raid and two others belonging to Ray Christie's brother

I reported earlier that the defense filed a new motion today regarding the 2018 raid in Ray Christie's case. 

There is the declaration from Mr. Rick Richmond, Christie's attorney. There is a declaration from Charles Adam, the defense computer expert. There is a declaration from Brandon Horn who testified at the first trial. There are also video exhibits filed with the court. I have included some excerpts in this post.

I spoke with Mr. Rick Richmond who said the defense is asking the Court to strip away all/almost all of the evidence. 

"The prior motion on the 2018 raid dealt with constutionality," said Mr. Richmond. "This new motion directly attacks the evidence item by item."

The prior motion on constitutionality of the 2018 raid was denied by Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis.

"The new motion addresses the carcass/bone piles as well as the four felony counts, " said Mr. Richmond. 

In the declaration by Ray Christie's brother, he  claims that Cow #2 in Count 4 had died two weeks prior to the raid. 

Other claims in the filings are that two of the animals were not under Ray Christie's care but under control of Darrell Christie.

The declaration from Joe Manni include many statements such as Manni stating HCSO Deputy Travis Mendes was there at the auction yard and that Mendes knew Ray Christie was buying sick animals.

In my previous coverage, there was a specific post I did on the Auction Yard. I kept my sources anonymous. Now that Manni has signed and submitted a court declaration, I can say he was one of the sources for information for that post.

The declaration from Charles Adam, defense expert who testified in court about the 2021 raid, again refers to "metadata missing, photos missing, no idea when photos  were taken," said Mr. Richmond.

Brandon Horn testified at the first trial. I will add Mr. Richmond's declaration later.
