Vandal cuts wires affecting Scrappers Edge and U.S. Bank on Fifth Street

I was just walking by U. S. Bank and an electrician is at U. S. Bank. He walked to his vehicle and I took this photo.

A vandal cut wires. Sondra Kirtley found her business  without electricity this morning and no internet. The power is up. Internet should be restored shortly. 9:50 internet back up at Scrapper's Edge.

Sondra knew who to call and we are lucky to have such her as a local business owner. Scrapper's Edge is a Humboldt favorite because of their quality work and excellent customer service. Thanks to Sondra, U.S. bank had the same electrician help them out.

Sondra has filed an EPD report. I have contacted EPD Crime Analyst Brittany Powell. At 10:11, she emailed me. "A CSO was just dispatched to take the report.  I’ll check in when he clears the scene to see if there are any leads or surveillance."

I just saw the CSO. There is only camera is facing the ATM and the angle may not have captured any surveillance. So we wait and see. The power lines being cut could impact if there is surveillance.

PG & E told Sondra there has been a rash of such vandalism incidents and they want to find this person.
