Under special presentations at the April 19 BOS meeting, there is a retirement resolution put on the agenda by Fourth District Supervisor Virginia Bass.
"On April 22, 2022, Treasurer Tax Collector John Bartholomew is retiring from serving the citizens of Humboldt County after 14 years of service. The Board of Supervisors wishes to honor and thank Treasurer Tax Collector Bartholomew for his dedication and commitment and wishes him a long and happy retirement."
John is polite, professional, respectful and accessible. I wish him well in his future endeavors. I reached out to John for comment. He is modest. Referencing the Spike Lee movie, John said, "I’ve always tried to do the right thing."
