Humboldt should release stats like Los Angeles Public Health about drug overdose deaths

Given the recent press release by APD today about 4 deaths in last several days, Humboldt Public Health and the Coroner's office should release stats about deaths related to drug overdose.

The Los Angeles report about spikes in death being mostly drug overdose related and not due to COVID made national headlines. It isn't just deaths among the homeless that are due to drug overdose.

City Ambulance, Humboldt Bay Fire and local law enforcement respond disproportionately to several daily calls at Humboldt apartments, shelters, houses and motels and while they save lives, who know's the outcome of the next 911 call.

The owners of these properties in Humboldt and all over California just turn a blind eye and collect rent as usual. If you complain, they threaten the law abiding citizen with eviction. Democrats pass laws that make good soundbytes and press but they are meaningless due to lack of enforcement, corruption and because the Democrate elite are no different than the Republican establishment. Republicans claim they care about the working class; their actions show that is not the case.

All over California courts, cities and Counties and state agencies have failed the community and first responders. It is always easy to scapegoat and fire a few officers or social workers than take the root cause of these issues caused by those who have made their wealth because they prey and step on others, take advantage of sysyems rigged in their favor and have lobbyists and lawyers filing lawsuits to bully anyone who stands up into silence.
